Malignant mesothelioma
The tissue that lines your lungs, stomach, heart, and other organs is called mesothelium. Mesothelioma, also known as malignant mesothelioma, is cancer of that tissue. It usually starts in the lungs, but can also start in the abdomen or other organs. Malignant mesothelioma is rare but serious. Most people who get it have worked on jobs where they inhaled asbestos particles. After being exposed to asbestos, it usually takes a long time for the disease to form.Symptoms includeTrouble breathingPain under the rib cagePain, swelling, or lumps in the abdomenWeight loss for no known reasonSometimes it is hard to tell the difference between malignant mesothelioma and lung cancer. Your doctor uses imaging tests and a biopsy to make the diagnosis. Malignant mesothelioma is often found when it is advanced. This makes it harder to treat. Treatment may include surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, and/or targeted therapy. Targeted therapy uses substances that attack cancer cells without harming normal cells.NIH: National Cancer Institute

Pneumonia accounts for 39% (146/374) and meningitis for 24.3% (91/374) of invasive pneumococcal disease (IPD), causing 38,811 confirmed cases and 2,266 deaths in 2017. Insurance Information Bureau of India also stated that “certain infectious and parasitic diseases” was the top insurance claim category in 2016-17. In light of this, it’s clear: Controlling VPDs in adults through timely vaccination is crucial. What’s your take on adult vaccination in India?
